  • Ministry Support

    Accountant

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Accountant. This position is responsible for the support of our ministries through financial reporting and budgeting programs. Additional responsibilities include preparation of journal entries and financial statements, assistance with annual budgets, preparation of other internal and external reporting requirements, along with monthly bank reconciliations and year-end audit support.

    A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with prior experience in a long-term care environment preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate in Windows and Microsoft Office. We provide a competitive salary and benefit package that includes a 401(k); health, life, dental, disability and vision care; along with excellent vacation and holiday time off.

    Occupational Therapist

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Occupational Therapist. This position will primarily be located at our Napoleon Campus, with hours/shifts occasionally necessary at our other long-term care facilities. A master’s/doctorate of science in occupational therapy from an accredited program is required, along with successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Occupational Therapy.

    PRN/Contingent Therapists

    Genacross Lutheran Services is currently searching for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Assistants to build our PRN/contingent pool. We have four long-term care locations (Napoleon, Sandusky, Toledo, and Wolf Creek) where your skills can be utilized.

    Coverage during the week is a current need, with weekend coverage needed as well. Successful candidates will be licensed in their appropriate discipline and have a strong commitment to quality care, with previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

    Counselor

    Genacross Family & Youth Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Counselor. This position will provide mental health services to youth in residential treatment. A master’s degree in social work with minimum PC/LSW license required (independently licensed therapists preferred). Flexible hours are available. You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and use mature judgment with individuals who are out of control.     Adult Day Aide

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Adult Day Aide at our Adult Day Center in Toledo, Ohio. This position is responsible for helping clients who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and/or require oversight/assistance with activities of daily living; fostering at all times the clients’ independence, autonomy, and freedom of choice.

    Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurses

    Genacross Housing & Community Services is currently accepting applications for full-time, part-time and PRN/contingent Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurses for Bethany Place, a 45-unit market-rate senior living facility located in Fremont, Ohio. The LPNs will help oversee the 12 units licensed for assisted living residents. This position will perform initial assessments; prepare and administer medications and treatments; and process physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting strongly preferred.     Assisted Living State Tested Nursing Assistants

    Genacross Housing & Community Services is currently seeking applications for full-time, part-time and PRN/contingent Assisted Living State Tested Nursing Assistant for Bethany Place, a 45-unit market-rate senior living facility located in Fremont, Ohio. The STNAs will provide direct care for the 12 units licensed for assisted living residents. This position will perform the activities of daily living for residents, including dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, etc. Additionally, these individuals will complete accurate and thorough documentation; observe and report changes in residents’ physical conditions; and maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be certified as a State Tested Nursing Assistant, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting strongly preferred.     Director of Maintenance

    Genacross Housing & Community Services is currently seeking a Director of Maintenance. This full-time position is responsible for the development of a REAC compliance program in the housing ministry. This individual will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining structural compliance with HUD, AFHMP, ADA, and OSHA regulations in the housing ministry.

    Applicants should have a minimum of five year’s experience in maintenance, and a minimum of five years of supervisory experience is also required. We provide a competitive wage and benefit package in an environment dedicated to quality resident care.

    Groundskeeper

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Groundskeeper. This position will require the individual to work between various Genacross housing site locations in the Toledo, Ohio, area. Some traveling will be required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the neat appearance of lawn, lawn edges, shrubs, trees, and other landscape areas. The position will also ensure parking areas are neat and clean and that driveways are free of debris, snow, and ice.

    Another required duty will be preventative maintenance on lawn care equipment per manufacture specifications and with organized record keeping.     Maintenance

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time general Maintenance position in Toledo, Ohio. Applicants should have building maintenance or skilled trade experience. This position is responsible for making repairs to the building systems, completing preventative maintenance and rehabbing units in a senior apartment living environment.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will assure the neat appearance of lawn, lawn edges, shrubs, trees, and other landscape areas. The individual will also ensure parking areas are neat and clean and that driveways are free of debris, snow, and ice. Semi-annual inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems will be required, along with annual apartment inspections performed in conjunction with the housing manager to conform to audit/inspection standards.     Service Coordinator

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has a full-time (40 hours/week) Service Coordinator position available in the Temperance, Michigan, and northwest Ohio areas. This position will be responsible for linking residents in a senior apartment environment to community services, as well as providing PASSPORT Independent Living Assistance services and HOME Choice services to community adults.

    This position requires a bachelor’s degree and being a RN, LPN, or LSW is preferred. Computer skills and a valid driver’s license are also required. We offer competitive pay in an environment dedicated to quality senior care.

    Transportation/Maintenance

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Sandusky Campus is accepting applications for a full-time Transportation/Maintenance position. Responsibilities include using an ambulette vehicle to transport residents to local and out-of-town appointments during the week, and performing general interior and exterior maintenance duties to ensure the basic function and safety of the building environment. The position requires good oral and written communication skills.

    Candidates need to be 18 years of age or older and have had a valid drivers license for at least two years. Drivers are not required to have a special driver license endorsement(s) or CDL. The position has normal hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, hours can vary based on transportation needs of the facility.
