  • Ministry Support

    Executive Director of Home Health Operations

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an upcoming opening for an Executive Director of Home Health Operations. This position works closely with the clinical, therapy, and home & community-based services teams within Genacross Lutheran Services. This position reports to the Senior Executive Director for Home & Community Based Services and is responsible for the ongoing, routine relationships and operations between the clinical, therapy and housing staff to ensure the best possible resident outcomes. This individual has overall responsibility for the coordination of business strategies, home health development/marketing, reimbursement and compliance oversight, staff development and expansion, budgetary management, maintenance of appropriate licensure, as well as certifications and accreditation for programs within the clinical and therapy environments.

    A bachelor’s degree in health care administration, nursing, therapy, or a related filed is required. Additionally, a minimum of five years of strong administrative experience is required; preferably in a multi-faceted long-term care and home health setting that includes a track record of clinically driven administrative accomplishments. Regional travel will be necessary. We offer a competitive pay and benefit package.

    PRN/Contingent Therapists

    Genacross Lutheran Services is currently searching for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Assistants to build our PRN/contingent pool. We have four long-term care locations (Napoleon, Sandusky, Toledo, and Wolf Creek) where your skills can be utilized.

    Coverage during the week is a current need, with weekend coverage needed as well. Successful candidates will be licensed in their appropriate discipline and have a strong commitment to quality care, with previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

    Senior Executive Director for Post-Acute Services

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a Senior Executive Director for Post-Acute Services. This position is responsible for leading, designing and overseeing care and services of the organization through a collaborative process with organizational leaders that is reflected in long-range, strategic, and operational plans of all long-term services. This position leads and directs initiatives that deliver quality resident care and support services identified in each service delivery area. Additionally, this individual facilitates communication methodology to promote objectives and efforts to integrate resident and client care and support services accomplishments throughout the organization.

    A bachelor’s degree in health care or business administration and five years of prior experience in health care administration or a related field is required. The successful candidate also needs to be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. This position requires strong administration experience, a proven track record of administrative accomplishments, and a passion for social ministry. We offer a competitive pay and benefit package.

You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and use mature judgment with individuals who are out of control. You will need leadership skills, high energy levels, self discipline, a cool approach to volatile situations, reliability, flexibility, and dedication.

    We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift (must stay awake through the entire shift) positions. Experience working with adults in a supportive living setting is necessary. We are hiring in Henry County. We offer a competitive wage and benefits for full-time employment.

    Adult Day Aide

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening in Toledo, Ohio, for a part-time Adult Day Aide at our Adult Day Center. This position is responsible for helping clients who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and/or require oversight/assistance with activities of daily living; fostering at all times the clients’ independence, autonomy, and freedom of choice.

    Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurse – Fremont, Ohio

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time (potential full-time) Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurse for Bethany Place. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate senior living facility, with 12 assisted living units, located in Fremont, Ohio. This position will perform initial assessments; prepare and administer medications and treatments; and process physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting strongly preferred.     Maintenance – Toledo, Ohio

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time general Maintenance position in Toledo, Ohio. Applicants should have building maintenance or skilled trade experience. This position is responsible for making repairs to the building systems, completing preventative maintenance and rehabbing units in a senior apartment living environment.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will assure the neat appearance of lawn, lawn edges, shrubs, trees, and other landscape areas. The individual will also ensure parking areas are neat and clean and that driveways are free of debris, snow, and ice. Semi-annual inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems will be required, along with annual apartment inspections performed in conjunction with the housing manager to conform to audit/inspection standards.     Service Coordinator – Northwest Ohio

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has a full-time Service Coordinator position available in the northwest Ohio area. This position will be responsible for linking residents with services, assisting with the Medicaid application process, and completing transition coordination.

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Sandusky Campus is looking for Dietary Aides who are interested in working in an atmosphere dedicated to the quality care of our residents. We are currently looking for staff on second shift, with previous long-term care experience preferred, but not required.

    Human Resources/Social Services Representative

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Sandusky Campus has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources/Social Services Representative. Primary HR responsibilities will include recruitment/hiring/orientation, unemployment oversight, employee/labor relations, FMLA management, HR compliance, etc.  In addition, this position will oversee the social services duties for a small community of 56 licensed beds.  These duties will include ensuring the social health and wellness of residents, communicating with family members, coordinating ancillary services,  and participating in interdisciplinary team conferences and assessments.

    An associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in human resources, social work, business administration, or a related field and two years of previous HR or social services experience in a long-term care setting is strongly recommended. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with a comfort level to learn additional software applications as required.
