  • Ministry Support

    Executive Director, Genacross Lutheran Services Foundation

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for an Executive Director of our Foundation. Reporting directly to the President/CEO and the Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors, this position is the chief development officer for the organization. The Executive Director leads and strengthens the comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Foundation’s mission and goals, with an emphasis focused on annual, major, and planned giving along with grant requests and fundraising events. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this individual will strive to build greater understanding and support both for Genacross Lutheran Services and the Foundation’s mission, vision and goals in the region.

    A bachelor’s degree is required with an advanced degree preferred. A degree in business/marketing/public relations or communications and CFRE certification would be a plus. A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible fundraising experience in a health care or social ministry setting with evidence of continue growth through education and participation in professional fundraising organizations is a must. This position requires strong administration experience with a proven track record of organizational accomplishments and a passion for social ministry.     Direct Support Professionals

    Genacross Family & Youth Services requires strong, confident staff members, who have the capacity to deal with high-risk young adults who have behavioral and emotional difficulties. Individuals may experience frequent emotional crises and be assaultive and/or destructive. You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and use mature judgment with individuals who are out of control. You will need leadership skills, high energy levels, self discipline, a cool approach to volatile situations, reliability, flexibility, and dedication.

    We are currently hiring for second-shift positions. Experience working with adults in a supportive living setting is necessary. We are hiring in Henry County. We offer a competitive wage and benefits for full-time employment.

    Master’s Level Counselor

    Genacross Family & Youth Services is currently seeking a full-time Master’s Level Counselor, with a minimum of a PC/LSW license, to provide clinical services for youth in a school-based/residential setting in Liberty Center, Ohio. Independent licensed therapist is preferred. Starting pay rate is $21.00/hour for Master’s level PC/LSW and $24.00/hour for Master’s level PCC/LISW. We offer a competitive benefit package.

    Residential Treatment/Direct Care Staff for Youth & Young Adults

    Assistant Housing Manager

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time (24 hours a week) Assistant Housing Manager at our Luther Pines senior housing location in Lima, Ohio. Excellent attention to detail, sound communication skills, and solid computer skills are required for this role. Prior experience working in an administrative/clerical role in a senior living environment is preferred. Additionally, this position will require excellent customer service skills and dedication in a faith-based atmosphere committed to quality resident care.

    Dietary Cook/Dietary Aides

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has immediate openings for a full-time Dietary Cook and part-time Dietary Aides for Bethany Place, located in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 46-unit, market-rate senior living facility with 16 assisted living units.  These positions are responsible for providing and/or assisting in providing healthy meals according to the plan developed by the Dietary Manager, and are also responsible for cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining room areas, including equipment and utensils.  Additionally, this individual will be responsible for complying with housing and state/local health department regulations. Previous experience working in food service and an assisted living environment are preferred. We provide competitive pay in an environment dedicated to quality resident care.

    Housekeeper

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time (20 hours per week) Housekeeper at its Luther Pines location in Lima, Ohio. This position will be responsible for regular cleaning responsibilities, including vacuuming, dusting, etc. in a multi-building senior living apartment community. Additionally, this position will require excellent customer service skills and dedication in a faith-based environment committed to quality resident care.

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has immediate openings for part-time and PRN (as needed) State Tested Nursing Assistants or Certified Nursing Assistants for Bethany Place, located in Fremont, Ohio.     OTs, PTs, SLPs, OTAs and PTAs

    Genacross at Home has immediate openings for PRN Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in the Northwest Ohio area. These positions will be based on a per visit rate, with visits occurring during the week, evenings and weekends. Each successful candidate will possess the appropriate and applicable degree and licensure in the state of Ohio for the required discipline.     Genacross at Home has immediate openings for PRN (as needed) Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Home Health Aides in Toledo, Ohio, and surrounding communities. These positions administer direct nursing care and necessities of daily living to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the RN Case Manager.

    Assisted Living Manager

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus is currently seeking a full-time Assisted Living Manager. This position will oversee the 40 units licensed for assisted living. Duties include, but are not limited to, implementation of initial assessments, admissions, marketing the facility throughout the community, management of direct care staff including scheduling, some payroll functions, and oversight of the day-to-day assisted living operations. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures in an environment dedicated to quality resident care.

    Candidates must hold an LPN or RN license, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting strongly preferred. Additionally, this individual must have a compassionate demeanor and the ability to work independently. This position will be recruited for both internally and externally concurrently.
