  • Ministry Support

    Admissions and Marketing Director/Hospital Liaison

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for an Admissions and Marketing Director/Hospital Liaison. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the marketing plans and the admission process. Duties include but are not limited to sales and marketing of the Genacross Lutheran Services ministries. This position will conduct admission screens of potential patients, and have regular interaction with Genacross ministries, hospital discharge planners, and physicians in the Toledo market to help with the coordination and uniformity of the organization’s overall marketing strategy. In addition, this position will work in the Henry County market two days per week. This position does require daily travel.

    The successful candidate must have 1-2 years’ prior experience with admissions and marketing and/or hospital liaison, preferably in a long-term care setting. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.     Hospital/Marketing Liaison

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Hospital/Marketing Liaison to support our long-term care ministries. This position is responsible for census building, strengthening the marketing and referral efforts, as well as building community relations for the organization. Additionally, this individual will take responsibility for the coordination and uniformity of the organization’s overall marketing strategy. This will require regular interaction with the established admissions/marketing coordinators at Genacross ministries and hospital discharge planners.

    A bachelor’s degree in marketing/public relations is preferred, along with prior experience in the senior living/health care industry. The ability to establish a positive rapport within the organization and surrounding community is essential.     Direct Support Professionals

    Genacross Family & Youth Services requires strong, confident staff members, who have the capacity to deal with high-risk young adults who have behavioral and emotional difficulties. Individuals may experience frequent emotional crises and be assaultive and/or destructive. You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and use mature judgment with individuals who are out of control. You will need leadership skills, high energy levels, self discipline, a cool approach to volatile situations, reliability, flexibility, and dedication.

    We are currently hiring for second-shift positions. Experience working with adults in a supportive living setting is necessary. We are hiring in Henry County. We offer a competitive wage and benefits for full-time employment.

    Residential Treatment/Direct Care Staff for Youth & Young Adults

    Housing Site Manager

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hours a week) Housing Site Manager for our Luther Hills and Luther Ridge communities in Toledo, Ohio. Good communication and computer skills, along with knowledge of HUD and LIHTC compliance are required.     LPN/RN

    Genacross Housing & Community Services is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team part-time, one day a week, at our Bethany Place location in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate senior living community that includes 12 assisted living units. This position prepares and administers medications and treatments, and processes physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be an LPN or RN, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting. Additionally, the individual must have a compassionate demeanor and the ability to work independently. We provide a competitive wage in an environment dedicated to quality resident care.

    Service Coordinator

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has a part-time Service Coordinator position available in the Northwest Ohio area. This position will be responsible for linking residents in a senior apartment environment to community services, as well as providing independent living assistance services to community individuals. A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is required, with a LSW preferred. An acceptable driving record is required, and regional travel will be necessary. Additionally, this position will require solid computer skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.     Home Health Aide

    Genacross at Home has an opening for a PRN (as needed) Home Health Aide. This position’s duties include, but are not limited to, personal care, extensions of therapy or nursing services, and household services essential to health care in a patient’s residence. The position works under the direction and supervision of a RN and may provide home health care services throughout seven Ohio counties.     Registered Nurse

    Genacross at Home has an opening for a weekend PRN (as needed) Registered Nurse. This position administers skilled nursing care to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. The position is responsible for transportation of residents to appointments, as well as building maintenance and upkeep. The position is Monday through Friday. Additional duties related to the onboarding process will also be required.

    An associate degree in human resources (or related business field) is preferred, with two years of HR experience. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate in Windows and Microsoft Office. Accuracy and organizational skills are highly necessary for this position.
