  • Ministry Support

    Care Coordinator Liaison

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Care Coordinator Liaison for support of all Genacross ministries. This position is responsible for census building, strengthening the marketing and referral efforts, building community relations, and helping to ensure satisfaction and high-quality service to our patients/residents. Additionally, this individual will take responsibility for the coordination and uniformity of the organization’s overall marketing strategy.  This will require regular interaction with the Genacross ministries, hospital discharge planners, and physicians.

    A bachelor’s degree in marketing/public relations is preferred, along with prior experience in the senior living/health care industry.  The ability to establish a positive rapport within the organization and surrounding community is essential.     Regional Clinical Director

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a Regional Clinical Director.  This position will be responsible for directing the ongoing operations, coordination, development and competency of the long-term care service ministries. This individual will foster an environment of growth to develop the leadership skills of the directors of nursing and clinical team to improve quality care and outcomes.

    In addition, the Regional Clinical Director will be responsible for promoting care delivery systems and will develop clinical capabilities and continuous performance improvement within the nursing department and related interdisciplinary team efforts. This individual promotes continual quality care through the utilization of the nursing process, resident assessment process, disease management, quality assurance and assessment process, patient education, outcomes management, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

    Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (BSN preferred), with five years of administrative experience and background as a Director of Nursing or in a regional clinical capacity.  We provide a competitive salary and benefit package.

    Direct Support Professionals

    Adult Day Aide

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening in Toledo, Ohio, for a part-time Aide at our Adult Day Center. This position is responsible for helping clients who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and/or require oversight/assistance with activities of daily living; fostering at all times the clients’ independence, autonomy, and freedom of choice.

    Cook

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time/PRN Cook within the Dietary Department of Bethany Place, a senior community located in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate community with 33 independent living and 12 assisted living apartments.

    An individual with cooking skills will be responsible for, but not limited to: providing a healthy meal according to the plan developed by the Dietary Manager for residents; cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining room areas, equipment/utensils, and other areas; and complying with housing and state/local health department regulations. Previous experience working in an independent or assisted living community is preferred.     Housekeeper

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time housekeeper (25 hours per week) for Bethany Place senior community located in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate community with 33 independent living and 12 assisted living apartments. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures.     Maintenance

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Maintenance position at Luther Haus senior community in Temperance, Michigan. Applicants should have building maintenance or skilled trade experience. This position is responsible for making repairs to the building systems, completing preventative maintenance, and rehabbing units in a senior apartment living environment.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will assure the neat appearance of lawn, lawn edges, shrubs, trees, and other landscape areas. The individual will also ensure parking areas are neat and clean and that driveways are free of debris, snow, and ice. Semi-annual inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems will be required, along with annual apartment inspections performed in conjunction with the housing manager to conform to audit/inspection standards.     Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus is accepting applications for part-time Dietary Aides on first and second shifts.

    Director of Nursing

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus currently has an opening for a full-time Director of Nursing (DON). The ideal candidate for this position will be a RN with at least two years of strong management, supervisory and clinical experience in a long-term care setting. MDS experience is highly preferred. This position provides personal nursing care to the residents and leadership to the nursing staff to assure that care standards are met and the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times.

    Additionally, this position will: function as a management team member, team leader, and ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered; be able to prioritize MDS assessments and care planning processes; manage the resources within their control and assist others in managing resources; and have supervisory responsibility of the units, STNAs, and staff nurses.

    This individual must be knowledgeable of long-term care nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as legal regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Excellent customer service skills and strong willingness to facilitate a positive teamwork environment are a necessity.     Activity Aide

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus is currently seeking an energetic, creative individual to lead recreational activities. This position is a PRN (as needed) position, with the flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Candidates must have a valid driver’a license.

    Assistant Dietary Manager

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Dietary Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with all special dietary events, supervising and scheduling employees and maintaining the daily staffing within the department, ordering and supervising the correct stock rotation method, and maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. This position will work closely with the Dietary Manager and will be assigned additional duties as needed.

    The successful candidate will be a certified dietary manager and have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as basic computer knowledge. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and will have or be willing to obtain a certification in Serve Safe. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are also required.
