  • Ministry Support

    Licensed Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director for our Napoleon Campus in Napoleon, Ohio. This position is responsible for leading, designing and overseeing the care and services for a continuing care campus comprised of 80 skilled nursing and rehabilitative beds, 40 assisted living units, and 27 independent living condominiums. This will be accomplished through a collaborative process with organizational leaders that is reflected in the long-range, strategic, and operational planning.

    The Executive Director leads and directs initiatives that deliver quality resident care and support services identified in each service delivery area. Additionally, this individual facilitates communication methodology to promote objectives and efforts to integrate resident care and support service accomplishments throughout the campus.

    A bachelor’s degree in health care or business administration and three to five years of prior experience in health care administration or a related field are required. A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license is also necessary. This position requires strong administrative experience, as well as a proven track record of administrative accomplishments and a passion for social ministry. We offer a competitive pay and benefit package.     Maintenance Technician – Norwalk, Ohio

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Maintenance Technician at our Luther Oaks location in Norwalk, Ohio.  Applicants should have building maintenance or skilled trade experience.  This position is responsible for making repairs to the building systems, completing preventative maintenance, and rehabbing units in a senior living apartment setting.

    Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure the neat appearance of lawn, lawn edges, shrubs, trees, and other landscape areas.  The individual will also ensure parking areas are neat and clean and that driveways are free of debris, snow, and ice. Semi-annual inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems will also be required, along with annual apartment inspections performed in conjunction with the housing manager to conform to audit/inspection standards.  We offer competitive pay in an environment dedicated to quality senior care.

    Resident Aide

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time (36 hours per week) Resident Aide for Bethany Place, located in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 46-unit, market-rate senior living facility with 16 assisted living units. This caregiver will provide compassionate care primarily in the assisted living wing of our facility. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures. Candidates must have a valid Ohio nurse aide license or be an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant/Direct Care Provider, with previous assisted living experience preferred.     Senior Level Site Manager

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Level Site Manager in Toledo, Ohio. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for an assigned senior independent living location. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with HUD/AFHMP/ADA regulations in the housing industry. In addition, this position will provide oversight of other housing site managers with the above-referenced duties.

    Candidates should possess an associate degree in business administration or a related field. Previous experience and knowledge of HUD/AFHMP/ADA regulations is strongly preferred.     Medical Social Worker

    Genacross at Home has an immediate opening for a PRN (as needed) Medical Social Worker for its home health operations. This position provides social work services to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. These duties are performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care, under the direction of the Executive Director/Administrator and Clinical Supervisor. A master’s degree from a college with a social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required, with 1-2 years of experience in a health care setting (home health preferred).     Outreach Coordinator

    Genacross at Home is growing and expanding, which has led to an immediate opening for a full-time Outreach Coordinator. This position is responsible for planning and implementing marketing and sales activities for our home health initiative. This includes developing and maintaining referral sources, service coordination, promoting and communicating the image and mission of our organization, along with referring clients to appropriate and desired services and increasing sales volume. In addition, this role will require regular interaction with the established admissions/marketing coordinators at Genacross ministries and applicable staff at hospitals, physician’s offices and community-based health care services.

    Admissions & Marketing Director

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus is accepting applications for a part-time Admissions & Marketing Director.     Chaplain

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus has an immediate opening for a part-time Chaplain (24 hours per week).  The position will provide a ministry of spiritual care for residents and their families, as well as staff.  This includes, but is not limited to, conducting worship events, initiating spiritual care with each resident, creating a written spiritual care plan and updating it as appropriate, and being readily available to address the spiritual needs of residents, families, and staff.  A Master of Divinity and minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (or comparable pastoral experience), along with five years of previous ministry experience, are required.     MDS Coordinator

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Wolf Creek Campus is seeking a full-time MDS Coordinator. The primary purposes of the job are to manage the MDS in order to receive payments based on RUG scores, to coordinate resident care, and to comply with state and federal guidelines. This position also provides support to nursing staff to insure quality resident care, and may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Nursing and/or the Administrator. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in MDS and a valid RN license.
