    Billing Assistant

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Assistant. This individual will be responsible for communicating with Job & Family Services regarding Medicaid residents, posting cash receipts, tracking paid status claims, and completing other clerical duties in a multi-site, fast-paced social ministry organization.

    Long-term care billing experience in a skilled nursing environment is a plus. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate in Windows and Microsoft Office. Accuracy and organizational skills are highly necessary for this position.     Billing Specialist

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Specialist. This position will split time between our main administrative office in Toledo, Ohio, and our Napoleon Campus. This individual will be responsible for billing and collections for private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid accounts in a multi-site, fast-paced social ministry organization.

    Long-term care billing experience in a skilled nursing environment is required.     Executive Director, Genacross Lutheran Services Foundation

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for an Executive Director of our Foundation. Reporting directly to the President/CEO and the Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors, this position is the chief development officer for the organization. The Executive Director leads and strengthens the comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Foundation’s mission and goals, with an emphasis focused on annual, major, and planned giving along with grant requests and fundraising events. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this individual will strive to build greater understanding and support both for Genacross Lutheran Services and the Foundation’s mission, vision and goals in the region.

    A bachelor’s degree is required with an advanced degree preferred. A degree in business/marketing/public relations or communications and CFRE certification would be a plus. A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible fundraising experience in a health care or social ministry setting with evidence of continue growth through education and participation in professional fundraising organizations is a must. This position requires strong administration experience with a proven track record of organizational accomplishments and a passion for social ministry.

Bethany Place is a 46-unit, market-rate senior living community that includes 16 assisted living units. This position prepares and administers medications and treatments, and processes physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be an LPN or RN, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting. This position is responsible for the supervision of nursing care and direction of STNA duties.  Job duties include: prepares, oversees and administers medications and treatments to residents; performs assessments (i.e. vitals, intakes, outputs, etc.) and direct care functions; processes physicians’ orders, labs, x-rays, etc. and seeks out clarification when necessary; communicates appropriately with physicians, pharmacists, family members, etc. to discuss ongoing care of residents; completes and ensures accuracy in paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation, as a part of the resident care and transition of care processes.

    Assistant Dietary Manager

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Dietary Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with all special dietary events; supervising and scheduling employees and maintaining the daily staffing within the dietary department; ordering and supervising the correct stock rotation method; and maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. This position will work closely with the Dietary Manager and will be assigned additional duties as needed.

    The successful candidate will be a certified dietary manager and have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.     Assistant Director of Nursing

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus currently has an opening for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ideal candidate for this position will be a RN with at least two years of strong management, supervisory and clinical experience in a long-term care setting. MDS experience is highly preferred. This position provides personal nursing care to the residents and leadership to the nursing staff to assure that care standards are met and the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times. This position will also function as a management team member and team leader, ensuring that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered. Additionally, this position will be able to prioritize MDS assessments and care planning processes, manage the resources within their control and assist others in managing resources, and have supervisory responsibility of the units, STNAs, and staff nurses.

    Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable of long-term care nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as legal regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Excellent customer service skills and a strong willingness to facilitate a teamwork environment are necessary. Qualified candidates must have a valid Ohio RN license with active CPR certification.
