    Billing Specialist

    Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Specialist. This position will be located primarily at our Toledo Campus (Oregon area) and is responsible for billing and collections for private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid accounts in a multi-site, fast-paced social ministry organization.

    Long-term care billing experience in a skilled nursing environment is required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate in Windows and Microsoft Office.  Accuracy and organization skills are highly necessary for this position. We provide a competitive salary and benefit package that includes a 401(k); health, life, dental, disability and vision care; along with paid and holiday time off.     Activity Aide/Driver

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening in Toledo, Ohio, for a part-time Activity Aide/Driver at our Adult Day Center (weekdays only). This position is responsible for helping clients who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and/or require oversight/assistance with activities of daily living; fostering at all times the clients’ independence, autonomy, and freedom of choice. Additionally, this position will transport residents to and from the Adult Day Center to their homes using a company-provided minivan.

    Genacross Housing & Community Services is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team part-time, one day a week, at our Bethany Place location in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 46-unit, market-rate senior living community that includes 16 assisted living units. This position prepares and administers medications and treatments, and processes physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be an LPN or RN, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting. These positions administer direct nursing care and necessities of daily living to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence.   • Genacross Lutheran Services - Napoleon Campus

    Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus currently has an opening for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ideal candidate for this position will be an RN (preferred) with a minimum of three years’ experience. The ADON is responsible for effectively leading nursing staff and the management team in the delivery of quality, resident-centered services in short-term and long-term care, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and government regulatory agencies.

    The ADON assists the Director of Nursing (DON) to maintain and implement enhancements to the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program; analyzes community performance metrics, trends, and clinical outcomes; and recommends, implements, and monitors process improvement measures. The position supports the DON to unite and collaborate with the Quality Team to develop clinical programs and processes to meet the changing needs of the customers we serve that result in positive outcomes. The ADON also partners with human resources in staff attraction and retention efforts, including hiring, on-boarding, coaching/counseling, and performance management.

    In addition, the ADON ensures delegation of responsibility, authority, and accountability as defined by standards of nursing practice, and provides leadership oversight of the entire community in the absence of the Executive Director and/or DON. The ADON takes the lead to ensure staff training needs are identified and provides necessary training and resources as needed. The position also coordinates the implementation of Genacross Lutheran Services education and competency training program.

    The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in long-term care nursing, medical practices and procedures, as well as legal regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Excellent customer service skills and a strong willingness to facilitate a positive teamwork environment are necessities. In addition to three years of experience, qualified candidates must have a valid Ohio LPN or RN license with active CPR certification.

    Chaplain

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus has an immediate opening for a full-time Chaplain. The position will provide a ministry of spiritual care for residents and their families, as well as staff.  This includes, but is not limited to, conducting worship events, initiating spiritual care with each resident, creating a written spiritual care plan and updating it as appropriate, and being readily available to address the spiritual needs of residents, families, and staff.  A Master of Divinity and minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (or comparable pastoral experience), along with five years of previous ministry experience, is required.
