    Direct Support Professionals

    Genacross Family & Youth Services requires strong, confident staff members, who have the capacity to deal with high-risk young adults who have behavioral and emotional difficulties. Individuals may experience frequent emotional crises and be assaultive and/or destructive. You must have the skills to verbally de-escalate a crisis and use mature judgment with individuals who are out of control. You will need leadership skills, high energy levels, self discipline, a cool approach to volatile situations, reliability, flexibility, and dedication.

    We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift (must stay awake through the entire shift) positions. Experience working with adults in a supportive living setting is necessary. We are hiring in Henry County. We offer a competitive wage and benefits for full-time employment.

    Residential Treatment/Direct Care Staff for Youth & Young Adults

    Adult Day Aide

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening in Toledo, Ohio, for a part-time Aide at our Adult Day Center. This position is responsible for helping clients who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and/or require oversight/assistance with activities of daily living; fostering at all times the clients’ independence, autonomy, and freedom of choice.

    The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma, the completion of applicable program in health and human services field, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work independently. This position also requires a valid driver’s license. We provide a competitive wage in an environment dedicated to quality care.

    Cook/Dietary

    Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time Cook within the Dietary Department of Bethany Place, a senior community located in Fremont, Ohio. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate community with 33 independent living and 12 assisted living apartments.

    An individual with cooking skills will be responsible for, but not limited to: providing a healthy meal for residents according to the plan developed by the Dietary Manager; cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining room areas, equipment/utensils, and other areas; and complying with housing and state/local health department regulations. Previous experience working in an independent or assisted living community is preferred.     Genacross Housing & Community Services has an immediate opening for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for Bethany Place’s assisted living. Bethany Place is a 45-unit, market-rate senior community with 12 assisted living units, located in Fremont, Ohio. This position prepares and administers medications and treatments, and processes physician orders, labs and x-rays. Additionally, this individual will maintain compliance with existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures.

    Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, with prior experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting preferred.     Dietary Aides

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus is accepting applications for part-time Dietary Aides on first shift.

    Director of Nursing (DON)

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus currently has an opening for a full-time Director of Nursing (DON). The ideal candidate for this position will be a registered nurse (RN) with at least two years of strong management, supervisory and clinical experience in a long-term care setting. MDS experience is highly preferred. This position provides personal nursing care to the residents and leadership to the nursing staff to assure that care standards are met and the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times.

    This position will function as a management team member, team leader, and ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered. This position will also be able to prioritize MDS assessments and care planning processes, manage the resources within their control and assist others in managing resources, and have supervisory responsibility of the units, STNAs, and staff nurses.

    Additionally, this individual must be knowledgeable of long-term care nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as legal regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Excellent customer service skills and a strong willingness to facilitate a positive teamwork environment are a necessity. Qualified candidates must have a valid Ohio RN license with active CPR certification. We provide a competitive wage and benefit package.

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus is accepting applications for full-time and PRN Licensed Practical Nurses on 12-hour night shifts. Candidates must have a valid Ohio LPN license, and previous experience working in a skilled/long-term facility is strongly preferred.

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus has immediate need for an experienced full-time/part-time Maintenance Worker. Qualified candidates must have broad knowledge and experience in building maintenance (plumbing, electric, drywall, etc.). A clear background check and pre-employment physical, including drug screen, are required, as well as a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus is seeking Registered Nurses for a variety of positions. These positions include 8-hour shifts and/or 12-hour shifts, with a weekend rotation.     Social Services Worker

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Toledo Campus is seeking a full-time Social Services Worker. This position is responsible for providing services to meet the social and emotional needs of the residents and their families, as well as assisting with the admissions/transitions of the care process for the ministry in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

    Candidates must have at least two years’ experience in a social services role, preferably in a long-term care setting. A bachelor’s degree in social work is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office products. This position will be recruited for both internally and externally concurrently.     MDS Coordinator

    Genacross Lutheran Services-Wolf Creek Campus is seeking a full-time MDS Coordinator. The position’s primary responsibilities are to manage the MDS in order to receive payments based on RUG scores, to coordinate resident care, and to comply with state and federal guidelines. The position supports nursing staff to ensure quality resident care and may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Nursing and Administrator.

    Qualified candidates should be detail oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in MDS and have a valid Ohio RN license. LPN applicants will also be considered for employment. We provide a competitive wage and benefit package.
