Genacross Lutheran Services announces the appointment of Laura Etter as Executive Director for the Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus (formerly Lutheran Home at Napoleon), a continuing care retirement community located at 1036 S. Perry Street in Napoleon, Ohio.
As Executive Director, Mrs. Etter will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, community outreach, and business development of the campus, which has a 5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and includes independent living, assisted living, short-term and long-term skilled nursing care, and rehabilitation services.
Mrs. Etter started in long-term care services in 1990 as a dietary aide on the Napoleon Campus. Following that position, she worked for many years as a State Tested Nursing Assistant while earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing home administration from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio. She has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2005, working in various types of care facilities in several different states.
“One thing I have always carried with me is the compassion for what we do every day,” Mrs. Etter stated. “This is not just a job for me but a calling; knowing we have the ability to care for others in a way that brings out the best in people is very fulfilling.”
Mrs. Etter, who was born and raised in Delta and recently relocated back to Ohio, resides in Archbold with her husband and three children, ages 16, 19, and 21. She also has one grandchild whom she adores and a dog.
“Laura’s hiring brings her back to the community where she started her career in skilled nursing care,” stated Tina Gendics, Senior Director of Post-Acute Services. “She has experience on many levels within senior living services and brings it all together in a caring, compassionate way that will benefit our residents and patients.”
