Genacross Lutheran Services has an immediate opening for a Vice President of Human Resources. This position reports directly to the Genacross President/CEO. Responsibilities include: collaborating with the CEO and other members of the Leadership Team to support the organization’s mission and vision; leading employee engagement initiatives including recruitment, retention, and recognition strategies; developing strategic HR plans and policies; ensuring regulatory compliance; and developing and implementing creative employee benefit offerings and related policies. This VP role also oversees Genacross’ Organizational Integrity Program.
Genacross is looking for an experienced individual with vision, an engaging personality, and the ability to think creatively to advance the objectives of the Human Resources function of a multi-faceted health care and social ministry organization. Creating a positive company culture that celebrates employees and aligns with the organization’s mission, vision and values is paramount. Developing strategic plans and polices for recruitment, training, compensation and other areas of employment development are central to the position.
A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required, with an advanced degree and PHR/SPHR preferred. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 8-10 years of progressively more responsible experience in human resources. Candidates should also possess strong strategic planning, organizational, budgeting, program development, and supervisory skills. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact with team members, senior executives and board members. Regional travel will be necessary.
